[ARCHIVED] Sufficient Storage Per Student

Hi All,

We are moving to Canvas soon at UWF.  We are wondering if 500 MB/student will be sufficient storage, or if we should include upgraded storage costs in the budget.  I would be interested to hear what storage capacity other Canvas schools have per student.

 @cmersereau , Welcome to the Community! We've been using Canvas since 2012-2013 and have the 500MB cap. It hasn't really been a problem and we  get maybe 1-2 students a semester who contact us because they've run out of space. We normally have them go in and delete out some personal files (saving them to a flash drive first) and then they're fine. In general files that students submit to assignments don't count towards their quota so we've found students don't really need that much space. Hope this helps!
