Hi All,
Are there any suggestions for the best/easiest way for faculty/teachers to preview exams/quizzes with the correct answers being viewable? The "Preview" does not provide answers and once you are in editing a quiz and are under the "Questions" tab, you can show question details, but it is limited to 25 questions or less. What about larger exams with 25+ questions? Can exams be exported in a nice format and used as answer keys for teachers?
I have faculty that are being brought in to teach existing online courses. We are looking for the easiest and most efficient way to preview and become familiar with existing exams so that they can properly provide students with feedback and be prepared to answer any questions that may come up.
Thank you for the help!

@wae3 , you can't see the answers in preview because you are literally previewing the quiz and how it will look to students. If the quiz settings are set-up so that students can see the correct answers to the quiz then if a teacher previews the quiz, scrolls down and submits it (no need to select any answers) they will then get to see all the correct answers for the quiz. At that point they could then print (to pdf) and have a pdf of the quiz and the correct answers.
Does this help?

Hi Kona,
Thank you for the reply and suggested workaround. That is certainly an option that can work. Ideally, I would like to avoid having faculty click between the settings of showing answers and not showing answers, especially when the answers are locked by a date and the exam is currently active for students. For exam security reasons, I am a little hesitant, but perhaps we can use your strategy to provide faculty with exam previews prior to the semester and take a more proactive approach.
Thanks Again,
Bill
@wae3 , have you thought about having them do their previewing in the beta or test environment? That way they could switch the settings to show correct answers and wouldn't have to worry about switching them back - How do I access the Canvas test environment?
Unfortunately the print option after Preview and Submit is not available.
Perfect answer. Thank You
