[ARCHIVED] What Permissions Does an Instructional Designer Need?

Hi,

I am looking for input about permissions an Instructional Designer needs? Right now, our Instructional Designer has full account admin rights and we want to change that but we also want him to be able to assist faculty with their courses. The Designer role doesn't seem quite enough. We are going to create a custom role and do some testing, but I thought it would be great to hear from others what they've been doing.

I'm a new admin and realized a custom template could not be applied to a single course, only to a sub-account.  If these accounts can use different templates, can they call up custom CSS stylesheets too?
