[ARCHIVED] What are your experiences with requiring copyright and licensing information?

I am investigating the new RCE image and document usage rights features. If you require copyright and license information to be provided for files before they are published, please share your experiences! 

• What are the pros/cons to requiring copyright and licensing information before publication (obviously legal compliance is a pro)? 
• What type of copyright and licensing support do you provide instructors/students in order to accurately use this feature?
• Can you get reports on file usage rights within your account?
• Anything else I should be thinking about?

Darn. A year of no replies to this, and here I was hoping that somebody else might have already provided the answers I need. Sad panda is sad.

It does seem like a no-brainer to enable this (at least it does if I don't consider likely faculty reactions), but there must be a catch. Guess it's time to do some research...
