[ARCHIVED] What would be the best way for students to upload their multiple action plans over the semester?

I periodically have to issue a student an action plan to complete if their behavior or assignments are below expectations. The student usually emails this to me but I have to consciously download it or it get's buried in my emails. I feel the Canvas assignment feature would be best if I label an assignment "action plan" and enable submissions with no deadline. Downside is that a student can't see their multiple submissions. When I test it in student mode, it looks like it's overriding the previous submission. On the teacher's end, I can see the multiple submissions but I would prefer the student can see their multiple submissions. Thank you!

Hi Lydia,

There's currently not an option for students to see previous assignment submissions (though there are requests for that, which you can vote on athttps://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/1076-student-view-view-submissions-and-comments-for-all-submis... ).

However, students can see previous quiz attempts, so one option might be to have a quiz (worth 0 points, which is set not to be included in their Total) with one file submission question (seehttps://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12878-4152125612 ) and allow multiple submissions, you could have students submit a new "attempt" whenever they wanted to turn in an updated action plan.  I think you can still add comments through SpeedGrader, just like with an assignment.
