The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.
Good night, recently i joined the platform because i have to develop a course as a project for an assigment, i tried to make a student account with the code of the course but it keeps giving me an error, then i checked visibility and it seems that it's not public even though the course is completely published with all the content, who can help me with this or how do i fix this?
Hi, Ivan,
In the Free-for-Teacher platform, courses cannot be made public. Instead, you can view the bottom of the Course Settings page, and you'll be able to see the More Options link (or as your course shows, más opciones). Select the option that says "Permita que estudiantes se autoinscriban al compartir con ellos una URL secreta", then save the page.
The page will refresh and you'll be able to view a link at the bottom of the page that you can share with other people to allow them to join your course.
Good luck!
Erin
