[ARCHIVED] Why is my Canvas course telling me that recording audio/video recording is not available?

I have often recorded audio or video to include in an assignment. I am attempting to do the same today and getting the message that it is not available. What is going on? I just want to use the Canvas media recording apparatus, not an outside media recorder.  Thanks

Hi  @citrin  Thank You for your question.

This sounds frustrating. It's such a great tool, as you know - when it works.

Have you by any chance changed browsers? It doesn't work so well in Mozilla Firefox apparently. Or update your browser. Browser Check - Update my Browser  

I'm also wondering about your computer settings, perhaps you have unallowed the media recorder to access your mic and camera? 

I hope it's one of those.

Thank you--I did note that if I use Chrome, I do not have this problem.
