[ARCHIVED] Yikes! Can I restore an earlier version of a Quiz?

I accidentally just deleted a long and important passage of text from the "details" page of a quiz (the text was in the rich text editor window), and I saved the changes. Is there any way to recover the text I deleted or restore the earlier version of the quiz? (Unfortunately, I used "delete" rather than cutting the text, so I can't repaste the text with command v. Command z doesn't work since I saved the quiz.) Thanks!

Good morning, @jillianporter ...

There may be a couple ways that you'd be able to recover that information:

• First, try using the hidden "undelete" trick.  @hollands has provided a great blog called Undeleting things in Canvas - Canvas Community which you might be interested in reading.
• Second, try seeing if the quiz still exists in your school's "beta" or "test" environments.  These two environments are completely separate from your school's normal "production" environment (the environment that you normally log into).  If you find what you need in either of those environment, be sure to log out of "beta" or "test" before you log back in to your school's normal "production" environment.
