When I went to Zoom within Canvas, I got the following message:
Solved! Go to Solution.
I had the exact same problem. I found the problem is because I created a free ZOOM account using my work email. What I did is, ending the free account then creating an account through our university's zoom, log into the zoon account through university zoom log in. Then the problem has gone away.
You probably need to check with your school IT department on this one. I know at my school an error would show up like that if the user didn't have a Zoom account yet. And in our case we have a different zoom portal they would need to log into which would create the account. So it's a little confusing that it's not working; unless you set up your Zoom account as a personal account using that email address and not "under" the school's zoom license. I'm really just guessing though and your school IT department would be a better resource to getting this fixed.
