[ARCHIVED] add a student as a canvas observer, who initially enrolled the course

I am writing to ask about how to add a student as a canvas observer. I initially enrolled in one course this term. Considering the workload of this course and discussing with the professor, I have switched to audit this course and drop the course. The professor agreed to add me as a canvas observer while he was not able to do it. The Canvas shows that I already enrolled in this course. I am wondering whether you know how to solve this problem.

Most likely, the instructor will need to contact their local Canvas Admin at the school to adjust your enrollment status in the course.
