I am already on Canvas as a teacher. Do I need a new profile to log in as a parent to "observe" my own child who is a student?

Hi John -

If your student is enrolled in more than one course, I encourage you to use a personal email and use that as your Observer account. It's much easier than navigating a full dashboard and calendar.

If you prefer to have your same sign-in for both teaching and observing, there is a workaround, but I'd have to send it to you as a direct message as the same process can be used by students to observe other students (which isn't great because it may lead to cheating).
