Frequently one student will say they cannot respond to my comments, or they don't know how.

I looked up the Canvas Quick Start directions and it seemed super complicated, but it cannot be.

Would someone share with me -- or point me in the right direction --

Thank for your question! I'm assuming your making an "assignment comment." If so, you're right. It is pretty easy to respond.

Basically, they go to Grades, find the assignment and to the right should be an icon with discussion bubbles- they click on that, but that just shows them the comment.

However to respond, they have to click on the Assignment. In the new window, there will be a text box on the right that says, "Add a Comment." There they just enter their comment and click on the blue save button.
