Hi  I am trying to set up a discussion group for my students to submit their oral reports.  I tried to do my own video but it says Canvas does not have permission to use my video and audio.  I want to know how to do my own and add it and how to set it up so students can add thro videos.  Thanks

Hi  @dmorosoff  and welcome to the Community.  It sounds like you already have the video recorded and just need to make this available to students, correct?  In situations like this I suggest that our faculty post the video, unlisted, on YouTube and then provide students with the link to the video in Canvas.  If you paste the YouTube link somewhere with the rich content editor (announcement, page, discussion, etc.), then it will allow students to watch the video within the page or to view it in YouTube directly.

Your institution may have a video streaming service as well (Canvas Studio, Panopto, etc.).  If this is the case you may be able to host the video here as well and link to it within Canvas.

Would either of these options work in your situation?
