The amount of content you can put into a Canvas course is dictated by the file storage limit within the course...not the number of files/folders/content items, etc. In your course, if you go to your course "Files" area, you should see a percentage and the maximum number of megabytes (MB) of file storage available for that course in the lower left corner of the screen. This is described in the section "View Course Files" of this Guide: How do I view course files as an instructor?.
