when i enter in the student grade after viewing the assignment, what do i do to have it automatically in the grade book.

Hello,  @adetoun_oyinlol  Welcome to the Canvas Community! Grades entered into the Grade field in Speedgrader automatically populate the gradebook column for that assignment. If you're using a rubric to grade assignments, make sure to enable the "Use this rubric for assignment grading" checkbox before starting to grade in Speedgrader.

Hello, Stefanie! My DocViewer editing functions within Speedgrader have disappeared. My university academic tech team believes it could be because the assignment is set to "peer review" as was my choice to do so as the instructor. Is there a way to enable DocViewer editing functions within Speedgrader and still have things set to "peer review"?

 @casey_golomski ‌, DocViewer comments are not supported in anonymous peer reviews, as documented in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10094-415254249 . In addition, DocViewer annotations are not available for assignments of the text entry submission type.
