Sorry to hear you are having difficulties uploading an assignment for your course. Have you tried clearing your browser history/cache?
Also, have you tried using a different browser? Generally speaking, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are good choices when navigating around the Canvas environment. If you are using one of these browsers, make sure it is up-to-date. Or, if you are already using one of these, try using the other one to see if improves things for you.
If none of the above options work, you might need to reach out to Canvas Support so that they can look into the issue further with you.
