Bulk add students to course

I am using the FREE Canvas version. I would like to add students to my course. It allows me to enter the email addresses as a list, but I cannot specific the names of the students and it forces me to enter the names one by one. Is there a way to bulk add users to the course and include their first/last name?

Note, i tried "first last" id@university.edu but it still requires i enter the name manually in the next screen.

I could very easily be wrong but I believe this feature is only available with the paid version and an Admin account.

I would like to add students to my course. Professional teachers to a PD course to be exact, so not a school setting. Adding names one at a time for 250 participants seems like something that should be easily done from the same spreadsheet that has their emails. Am I missing something? Paid version, not free.

Figured it out: Cut email and names columns from spreadsheet, paste into "add people" box, click next, click the name "box" and the names show up! Some wonky spacing, but bingo!
