Course Site Templates

We have created a course site template that is used across an entire sub-account. Has anyone found a way that can have this template pre-populated for any course created in that sub-account? I thought I might be able to do it in the theme manager, but that doesn't work. Any suggestions? Anyone doing this? Would anyone else be interested in this, if it was available?
