Due date cannot be after term end

I am trying to set up the online final exam. I wish to schedule the final exam for May 25, 2020. When I attempt to do so, I receive the error, "Due date cannot be after term end."

Because I'm at a remote campus, our semester ends a week or so after the main campus semester. The course details page show the correct (for our campus) course end date of May 31, 2020. I cannot see the actual term dates, but I suspect the term is set up to end before May 25, matching the policy of the main campus.

Term dates are configured differently than course start/end dates. You'll need to talk with your Canvas admin (probably IT department) to make sure your course term dates are set correctly.

I was correctly advised by our IT department that I can override the term date restrictions by setting the course dates in the course settings page and checking the "Students can only participate in the course between these dates" checkbox.
