HOW do I find and attach a URL for a course so students can find it?

I am trying to create an announcement and assignment and needing to copy and paste a URL to find it. I have NO idea how to do this. Where IS the URL?  Too confused.

Hi Kurt, 

Could you be more specific? Hoping this helps below: 

For Announcements, Canvas has a built in announcement feed for courses which automatically pops uo on the course homepage. 

To do this got to the Course > Settings > scroll the the bottom > More Options > Check Show Recent Announcements on Course Homepage. 

For Assignments, you can create and add assignments to course modules. 

Modules > Add Assignment

To copy the url of an assignment, go to the assignment you want. Copy the URL that is in the browsers address bar. It should look like:  name.instructure.com/courses/0000/assignments/00000

Another option could explore is the Rich Content Editor. I like this because I can link to items in Canvas within a single window:

Got that part but then where to place the url for submission?
