How can I add a student to my canvas class?

This Guide, How do I add users to a course?, should help you out.  Pay close attention to the information in the blue box at the top of this Guide.  If you are not able to add students to your course yourself, you will need to have a conversation with your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department to have them enroll the students for you.
