How do I transfer an exam from one course to another?

How do I move an exam located under the Assignments section of one course to a second course? I tried to import the exam from the original course to the second course, but it simply copied everything except the exam which I needed.

I hope that import did not result in too much time being wasted. 

Did you follow the instructions according to this guide? How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import tool?
