Nope...the assignment will need to be updated in both the "master" course and the course where you imported the "master" content from. There's no connection between the two courses once the import is complete. You could potentially use either Canvas Commons to create an "update once, distribute to many" scenario, though. Do you have Canvas Commons at your school?
