Images not loading on safari

Safari not loading images in courses correctly.

- it is not a network issue

- it is not a cache issue

- it's not an end user issue; but the case is in this snippet of code that lets Safari load the broken image icon instead of the intended picture.

Please fix this. I can see posts as old as two years regarding this issue.

This is happening to me a lot. New images are seen but old images are not. I have tried all sorts of "solutions" and none o them work.

Does anyone know if Canvas will fix this before September 2020?  If not, I am going to create PDFs of each of my course pages for viewing on Safari.  It's a lot of work, though, so I would prefer to know now!

We are also experiencing this as well... it seems to affect only older .png files, as any new ones added show fine in Safari. I've tried:

Clearing Cache

Clearing History

Unchecking Cross-site checking

None of these worked. If someone has a solution for this, I'd love to hear it!
