I just watched a video on how to duplicate a quiz on Canvas. It is ridiculous!!!! Why in the world can't we just be able to rename something a different name and it be a different quiz. I would have to post it onto the Commons and then drag it back down. It is about a ten step process.

@psmiley ,
See the steps listed here, they don't involve Commons at all: How to Duplicate a Quiz

@James ...
Thank you for linking to that thread for @psmiley with the directions I provided. And Pam, just for reference, the directions I provided in the link from James can also be found (with pictures) here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-13101-4152497985
Thanks all!
Chris, you added value to it by putting them in an enumerated list. Better yet, you did it in a question with an appropriate title, which means that people are more likely to find it in a search. They wouldn't know that selecting specific content was the place to look -- Pam was looking into Commons.
While these are indeed work-arounds, what's being asked for is a simple: "DUPLICATE" option that just copies the selected quiz and gives you something like:
*Quiz
*Quiz(1)
Then you can go into Quiz(1) and edit whatever you need using Quiz as a template.
I've noticed too many inconsistencies with Canvas and I'm honestly quite shocked that certain easy QoL things like this are not implemented -- Especially since certain Quizzes you CAN do exactly that!
I read somewhere that you can't duplicate "legacy" quizzes, or ones with external LTI, etc etc... I just made a brand new quiz, 1 question, using Canvas stuff, and it won't let me duplicate it. Very frustrating. When you see a list with 10+ steps on how to do something that should be as easy as Options->CopyPaste, the devs should know immediately that it needs fixing. Also, people miss stuff, I get it, but this feature isn't some brand new flaw -- it's been reported multiple times.
For what it is worth...I do not believe Classic Quizzes is being developed anymore and all efforts are being put into New Quizzes. New Quizzes does have a duplicate option and saves all the extra steps (which I completely agree were ridiculous).

Caution: we have done with the result that it overwrites the original and deletes all grades (even with the safegards that canvas has).
So many parts of Canvas just are not up to what it should be. No word
count, not easy to duplicate things etc.
