LTI Placements recommendation

Good morning ! 

I recently started developing an LTI Tool that handles Virtual meetings, a bit like Zoom.

Basically, I use the LTI tool to pull Names and Roles from canvas, and have a link to attend meetings that are bound to the context of a Course.

To show those meetings, currently, I use API calls to send back calendar Events to Canvas. While it works , ideally, I'd like to have a 100% LTI approach instead of relying on the API...

However, in term of UX, it seems a bit clunky to me to add a link for a meeting as an assignment or as a Module, like zooms handles it.

Basically my criteria are as follow : I need the "meetings" to be created outside of canvas, and to minimize interaction from canvas users to add meetings (Meaning, if possible, no users adding external links from modules themselves).

I was wondering, what would be considered good practice in Canvas to show virtual meetings, in terms of placement for an LTI Tool ?
