Live Events - can failed requests be traced?

Hi Canvas Community, 

I have set up some live events to be sent to a webhook using the https delivery method.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to access requests that failed in the event that the webhook was unavailable or sent an error response, or to find out that they failed? Does Canvas do anything with the responses to its event stream requests?

I am getting started with Live Events and am looking for the same kind of information. It is difficult to establish communications for the first time when you are not sure if the event was evoked in the first place and when the connection is reliant on components like JWK and JWT. Typically you need feedback in the form of logs to get started.

The SAML authentication screen allows this. It would also be a good idea if Canvas granted access to the logs in this case.

I have configured Canvas to send event data to an AWS SQS queue configured with open permissions for the arn:aws:iam::636161780776:root caller (this is the Canvas documented address). If I deactivate and re activate the data stream and take action to initiate the event I get a record in the last error field:

This isn't enough information however to validate the call. I am not sure how Canvas has constructed the call and I cam not add any header flags to trace the call from on the AWS side. How do I get more information about the failed call from either Canvas or AWS?
