Looking for a course content search tool

I want students to be able to search on course terminology throughout my course's content. For instance, to prepare for a technical review, they could look for the multiple references for "gestural" across assignments, pages, and discussions. 

Is there a way for them to search now?

I saw a 2015 response to this question here where someone had manually configured Google Search with html and javascript, but this will probably not be helpful for my colleagues who are not familiar with either of these. https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Question-Forum/Good-way-to-search-content-within-a-course/m-p/544....

I don't believe that anything exists "out of the box" in the Canvas environment (at least not on the front end) for people to search course content.  However, there is a third-party external LTI app that can be integrated with Canvas called Atomic Search.  This is a paid product.  If this was of interest to you (and really, to your whole school), you might want to have a conversation with your school's local Canvas administrator or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department to explore purchasing options.  I would think that this LTI would be installed at the Canvas account level (vs. the course level) so it's available throughout your school's Canvas environment.
