We have three sections in a single canvas course and are assigning each student to one of two groups in each section.
Having selected “people” then moving to the tab of one section, students from all sections are available to assign a group. Is there a way to make only students in just that one section available to choose and assign to a group.
Hi @nancym . I'll admit, I don't have a lot of experience with this, but it's my understanding an instructor will see all people in a course when looking for people to add to a group. If you are allowing the students to self-select their group, you can use a setting to require the students to be in the same section as the other people in the group they are signing up for.
