Hello,
Hope you are well.
I work for an organization as a Student Adviser, so I use Canvas as an instructor.
I am not able to find the "New Analytics" tab, not even in the course settings - navigation.
Could you help me figure out why? I would be an amazing resource to have available.
Best wishes,
Jaime Esqueda
Solved! Go to Solution.
@jpev90 New Analytics is technically still a "feature option" so I recommend reaching out to your school's Canvas admin to make sure they have it turned on. It has been around for so long I thought it was built in now but I was able to turn it off in our test environment and that did in fact remove it from the course menu and the menu on the right side of the course homepage.
Hope this helps!

@RichardFlaherty ...
I do not believe that @jpev90 is asking about Google Analytics. Rather, the question is about New Analytics...a tool within Canvas that instructors can use. You can find out more about New Analytics by visiting Instructor Guide - Instructure Community and this short video tutorial New Analytics Overview (Instructor) - Instructure Community.
Hope this helps.

Hello all,
Wow, this forum really is here to help! Thanks all.
Our admin turned it on, and now it is showing 🙂
Thanks again!
Jaime
I'm having the same issue. Did your Canvas site admin have to enable it in order for it to work? Ours is new and I'm not sure they know how to do this.
@ErinLewis It is still a feature option so they probably need to turn it on. In the "Admin" area of Canvas (available only to the admin), choose "Settings". From the tabs at the top of the Settings page, select "Feature Options". The Feature Options area is broken into two categories. The top area is feature options for the entire account and the second is options for courses. Near the bottom of the Courses area is "New Course and User Analytics". That is the option to turn this on for courses. The admin can decide if they want it on by default in all courses, and whether or not they want to lock that so instructors can't undo it. Depending what the admin decides, you may then also have to turn it on in the course in the "Settings"->"Feature Options" area.
Hope this helps!
