Not letting me change default email account - SOLVED

I am trying to change the default email in settings, but the black star for "default" doesn't do anything when I click on it. Also, the email I WANT to be default, does not have a start next to it at all. I'm sure the problem is between the chair and the screen, but I can't figure it out!
Okay, evidently you need to float the cursor in the blank space next to the new email address. Not the most intuitive process, I have to say.
