Problem editing feedback in essay question (New Quizzes)

I have recently been grading a set of essay type questions in new quizzes, and went back to fine tune points and feedback. After each change I clicked update, but the text in the feedback text box did not change. I tried deleting it completely but that did not help. The only thing that finally worked was to also change the points awarded, and then I was able to edit the feedback. Was this a (temporary) bug or a feature with some purpose? I found it irritating when i just wanted to edit a misprint.
