Hi,
With our former LMS we had a firewall policy that allowed us to restrict internet access to only allow access to their LMS environment during certain tests. To achieve this we received a handful of IP addresses from our former LMS provider which we put in a whitelist, and that worked nicely.
Now if we want to do the same with Canvas, what are all the IP addresses and / or domains does Canvas use for normal student operations?
I assume that you don't have a separate service for the messaging system, so that can be closed in these cases 🙂

You will want to contact support or your CSM as the IP range will be different depending on your location. Instructure uses AWS so my IP range will most likely not be yours.

Here is a thread with some information, but I think as David recommends, we had to go to our CSM to confirm and possibly get a few other addresses depending on the particular needs...
