Browser not up to date:
I just purchased a new Lenovo Chromebook and when I log into my Canvas site it says the browser is not up to date. How can I get that off my screen and why is it there?

Hi @mjacobson906 and welcome to the Community. It is possible that a web browser came pre-loaded on your computer. Web browsers are updated frequently so it is likely that if that was the case it would be outdated by the time you logged in for the first time. The web browsers and versions supported by Canvas are listed here, Which browsers does Canvas support?. There is always a way in the settings of a browser to determine if an update is available and update the browser if needed. When updated, the notification you mention should no longer appear. If you have trouble updating the browser you could contact Canvas Support via one of the options in the help menu ( How do I get help with Canvas as a student?) or by contacting the support at your own institution.
I hope this helps and best wishes!
