Hello there,  @gubanicht ...

I assume that you are asking about the course cards located on the Canvas Dashboard.  If this is the case, pictures can only be added by instructors (which show up for all students in the course).  I'm not sure what your role is at our school, but if you are an instructor, you can follow the steps in this Guide: How do I add an image to a course card in the Dashboard?.
