unexpected error message in the middle of collaborations

What does "an unexpected error has occurred" mean? I am working on collaborations for a section. I successfully created and shared documents for the previous section to use, but now I am not able to do the same for the next section.

Hello  @danielle_wallac  and welcome to the Community!  I receive this error every once in a while, often when my internet temporarily goes out.  Often I can reload the page and it goes away.  While all systems are listed as operational now, I do see that a couple of days ago there were some page error issues (see Instructure Status).  You may have been one of the unlucky users impacted by this!  Have you tried since you posted this question and is it working now?
