I am new to this. How do I find my username and password? 

is it my ID?

is it my student email address?

You've actually posted your question to a worldwide community where users from different institutions discuss their experiences of using Canvas. This means community members don't have details on the login methods for specific schools/colleges. You would need to contact the technical support team at your college to find out your username.
Your email address suggests you're studying at Galveston College and a quick search of their website tells me you can contact the IT Service Desk on 409-944-1352 or in Regents Building R-120. Hopefully they can provide you with your username.
