In this Canvas Badges/Credentials release (5 January), Canvas Badges and Canvas Credentials have been rebranded. Additionally, the LTI 1.3 navigation label has been updated to reflect rebranding in Canvas and Blackboard.

Rebranding

Summary

In Canvas Badges and Canvas Credentials, the primary color theme has been updated to match Canvas LMS. Additionally, the Badgr logo has been updated to match Canvas Badges and Canvas Credentials branding. Badgr Basic defaults to Canvas Badges and Badgr Pro defaults to Canvas Credentials. Also, Navigation has been moved to match Canvas LMS.

Change Benefit

These updates create a cohesive style between Canvas LMS, Canvas Badges and Canvas Credentials.

Canvas Badges Updated Logo and Theme

Canvas Credentials Updated Logo and Theme

In Canvas Badges and Canvas Credentials, the theme and logo have been updated to match Canvas LMS. Additionally, the Navigation has been moved.

Updated Canvas Badges Branding Reference

Badgr and Badgr pro references have been updated to Canvas Badges or Canvas Credentials based on subscription level.

Additional Details

This update does not impact user workflow.

LTI Navigation Menu Label Update

Summary

In the Canvas and Blackboard Navigation menus, new installations of the LTI 1.3 navigation label have been updated to reflect rebranding.

Canvas Credentials Course Navigation Link

In the Canvas Course Navigation, Legacy and upgraded LTI 1.1 installations remain Badges. New installations of LTI 1.3 have been updated with Credentials. 

Canvas Credentials Blackboard Navigation Label

The LTI 1.3 navigation label in Blackboard has been updated to Credentials for all subscription levels.

Note: Each instance's update time may vary with this change.

Additional Details

Self-hosted installations of LTI 1.3 remain Badgr. This update does not impact user workflow.
