Course dates

Hi all,

I have this problem. When you set dates in a course. Canvas has different behaviour if you access as Student or as a Teacher:

Students will see the course as past, present and future depending on dates. (CORRECT)

Teachers, courses marked as present or future, you will ALWAYS in my courses as “current courses” and NEVER in my courses as past. However, future courses will be shown as future.

Why the same "past" course it is shown as "past course" to the students and not to teachers?.

This is probably due to the way the term dates are set up; teachers and students can be given different access dates. For example, we have our student term dates set so that their courses drop to "Past Enrollments" the day final grades are due. We extend the teacher term dates out much longer, because functionality changes after the course concludes and drops to the past enrollments section (essentially becomes read-only). No. I don't have any date in the Term, only I have dates in the course.

Okay, that makes sense then. If there are no term dates set, then you would never have past courses because the term never ends. The course ends for the students because you have set course dates for them.
