Canvas Credentials offers comprehensive reporting and analytics features designed to fulfill your organization's reporting needs. These reporting and analytics capabilities extend across different levels, including Organization, Issuer, and Badge levels. Each level provides distinct analytics, allowing the option to export specific data tailored to your requirements. When considering analytics at each level as compared to an umbrella, we observe a progression towards more detailed data as we descend through each level, beginning with Organization and culminating at an individual Badge. Let's delve into the data and analytics available at each level:

Organization

Analytics from the organization level are accessed through the Credentials Dashboard by Admins, this would be the highest level we can view analytics. Admins will be able to see the Issuers who are awarding badges and how many they are awarding at a glance. They will also be able to see where and when the badges are being awarded, across all issuers within the organization. This data is shown in line graphs that depicts total awards, total shares, and platforms where they are shared. The last data point shows the badges that were most shared across the entire organization and where, the platforms include: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Canvas ePortfolios. All analytic points are interactive and have the ability to be downloaded into a CSV report.

Issuer

The Issuer level analytics mirror the Organization level analytics, however they are more granular as these analytics only represent the badges that are part of that specific Issuer. This will allow Issuer Owners, Editors and Staff,  to analyze the data connected to Badges that are awarded, shared and where they were shared. Additionally, these data points can be conveniently downloaded in CSV format. Within the Issuer, there is a tab labeled ‘Data Management.’ These reports encompass details to the awarded badges including associated metadata (such as expiration date, award rationale, and recipient name), providing a comprehensive overview.

Badge

Within the badge, we dive even further into specific analytics for that particular badge. Similar to the other levels, we can see the date of award, total badge shares and the platforms shared is presented in a bar graph format. Just like in the preceding levels, this data can be refined based on dates and conveniently exported into a CSV file.

While all analytical sections share similarities, they also offer distinct data points, furnishing institutions and organizations with diverse report options. These reports can be analyzed to facilitate comparisons among issuers and badges, enabling administrators to inspect their practices and assessments in the badge awarding process. If you would like more information or understanding of Analytics and Reports please reach out to your CSM about Canvas Credentials Strategy and Training options.
