Adding extra classes to LTI Tool Navigation Links

Is there a way to add a class to the navigation link created by adding an LTI Tool to external apps through the LTI Tool's configuration? Or would you have to revert to custom JS to do something like this?

Current LTI tool configuration in Canvas does not support this. Can you provide some more details as to why you are asking about this?

When logged in to Canvas as an Account Admin or Teacher, Canvas-native course navigation items which are not visible to students appear as greyed-out text. We would like the same to be true for our LTI tools that we add as course navigation items with a visibility setting of "admins".
