Embedding LTI Applications

Hi there, 

We have recently started discovery around building a home grown app to plug into our Canvas instance my team has run into some issues they have questions about that I'm hoping for some assistance with. 

• We have an LTI 1.3 app - launches and displays a “Hello World” page
  • How can we embed it in a section of the page as seen in the screenshot?
  • We tried the Youtube app and it is slightly different as it launches the app and user selects a public video that they’d like to embed.
  • We're able to launch our app in a new tab or in the same page

To accomplish what you want with the placement of your LTI tool.  All you need to do is give the tool the placement of editor button and it will be display in the RCE.  But there is also other options for placements for your tool.  It would be best for you to look at the 1EdTech documentation and Canvas documentation to see what best fits your needs.
