How can I use IP address filtering or restriction in other functions like module or course?

I knew the IP filtering can be used in Quizzes and I've used this function now.
But as advanced, I wonder if I can use the similar function on module or course etc. I have searched in Community and noticed that it can be displayed an alert if student is on certain IP address.
However, I have uploaded the script which was shown on solution at theme editor, and there's nothing happened. 😞
And here're 2 questions I want to ask for help.
1. Does anybody know how to deploy this function as I mentioned above? Whether I did the wrong step to upload the script? 😞
2. If I can use a third-party tool to restrict the IP address of student, and which third-party tool can be used and how can I use it?
