I am creating a professional development presentation on course design. I've found many great ideas here in the community to use as a jumping off point and want to share mine as well. This resource is geared towards teachers who want to learn to use the HTML editor to enhance their courses and make them more user friendly for students, whether they are using the mobile app, tablets, laptops, or desktops. I've included several templates that can be used as is or modified.
I don't think the direct link works outside of our school district, but I've also added the course to the Commons: Canvas Advanced Design.
If you have any suggestions for improving this resource, please share. Thanks!
Looks great - really like the front page - by the way, the first link works!
I am a big fan of embedding features so students can interact and engage with the content rather than through a series of clickable links.
If you have time, I would explore the Google integration which allows you to embed all Google features on pages through simple iframe html. Would also have a look at some of the tools here - Embedding Web 2.0 Tools which have links to some really nice interactive features...
Thanks, Gideon! I do use some of those web 2.0 tools you have listed in your post. I love using Padlet with my students. What a great idea to embed it in Canvas.
