Understanding the Canvas Certified Technical Admin Program
The Canvas Certified Technical Admin program is designed to elevate your proficiency as a technical admin. What sets this program apart, however, is the creation of an Admin Plan for your institution. Whether you’re new to Canvas or been a Canvas admin for years, the thoughtful creation and documentation of the “why” behind the way you’ve set up your Canvas instance is a valuable takeaway.
The program encourages a culture of engagement and reflection. As a participant, you`ll have opportunities for self-assessment and goal setting. Sharing your experiences with peers and learning from each other`s examples creates a stimulating environment that promotes the collective growth of all participants.
Unique Support Ability for CCTA Graduates
The CCTA program also has a unique attribute that we don’t offer for purchase anywhere else at Instructure. We developed these courses with the Canvas Support team, with the idea that graduates of this program would be able to troubleshoot many of the common Canvas issues in their instances. Therefore, participants can purchase the program with the Direct-to-L2 Support ability. This enables CCTA graduates to escalate time-sensitive and complex support tickets directly to an L2 Agent on our Support team.
Normally, this adds $500 to the cost of a CCTA enrollment. However, if you purchase before June 30, 2025, this additional benefit is free!

Currently we have three electives available, focusing on the use of the Canvas API, data, and techniques for leading with Canvas.
