I have tried all day to find the answer, but i can't reply to a discussion board via my phone or iPad app. I am often away from wifi, but I have cellular service on both. My wife is also a student, and she can reply on her phone. We have looked at every setting possible and can't find where to get me access. Hmmm. At this point, I would definitely create a support ticket and submit it to your local canvas team. How do I get help with the Student app on my iOS device? The data that's collected when you submit the ticket will help the support team at your school (and at Instructure once they escalate it!) pinpoint the issue.

Are you and your wife trying to reply to the same discussion in the same course? Can you reply to the discussion from a browser (even using Safari on your iPhone or iPad)?
If you answered no to either question, it may be the discussion or its settings rather than the app.
I can reply in a browser. We are both taking the same class.

Hi Chris - Do your phones have the same operating system? Are they both up-to-date? If yes, try uninstalling and reinstalling your Canvas Student app. Let the Community know so we can better pinpoint what going on. ![]()
Yes. We both have the same operating system. I have turned off both phones and reinstalled the app too. No luck.

So I have done some more work on this. We both have the same iOS versions on our phones (the same phones too). We both have the latest app version. We are both enrolled in the same classes at the same university. I have power cycled all our devices too. The one difference I have noticed is that her app does not have the 3 dots in the upper right corner, and mine does. I just installed the app on a work phone and I cannot reply on it either.
