I am having issues with my due dates in the canvas mobile app not reflecting the time zone I set in my account or that of my university. I am in Mountain Time Zone and my university is in Pacific. I went in and changed my account to reflect pacific but that only fixed the desktop version of canvas due dates. In the canvas mobile app, it’s still showing the mountain time zone due dates vs what I have set in my account and what the university and courses are set to (Pacific). I have searched a bunch of FAQs and forums but have found no solution. Having this corrected would help so much if anyone is able!
I'm having the exact same sort of issue. I'm in a slightly different time zone than my University. They make everything due at 11:59pm on the day an assignment is due.
On the browser version, I've set my time zone to match my university's, and everything displays correctly.
On the mobile version, there's no way to change this, so at a glance everything displays as if It was due the next day--making it appear as though I had an additional day, when in reality I only have 1 additional hour into the next morning. This makes it difficult to properly plan ahead and allocate time to complete assignments.
The current "solution" of "just change your phone's time zone" isn't acceptable as it's basically the same as saying "just mess up everything else on your phone to fix this one thing"
I have the same issue, I thought it was only my school issue because we are having a transition to a newer software, and we had worse issues, but it has passed a couple of months and still the issue of the Time deadlines is making me delivering everything very off. The instructor is very familiar with the issue and is accepting late work with no penalty, but the issue is discomforting.
I have changed the settings on my profile again, but is the school the one that is off with their deadlines so I don't know what to do, or who to reach for a solution, any ideas?
