In Canvas Teacher IOS 1.16, the app allows instructors to enable Dark Mode and tap the Drag Annotation tool to easily move annotations in the mobile app.
Canvas iOS app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users enrolled in automatic updates over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available, but iOS users can manually update the app at any time in the iTunes Store. The Canvas Teacher iOS App requires iOS 12.0 or later.

Dark Mode
In Canvas App Settings, instructors can enable Dark Mode. This update allows instructors to choose an appearance theme to improve accessibility.
In Settings, tap Appearance.
In Settings, instructors can choose between three appearance theme options, System Settings, Light Theme, and Dark Theme.

Drag Annotation Tool
In the Annotation Toolbar, instructors can use the Drag Annotation tool to select and grab point annotations, short text, boxes or drawing annotations. This update indicates instructors have selected the drag tool to move point annotations, short text, boxes, or drawing annotations.
