Canvas Student Release Notes (Android 7.14)

Canvas Android app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available as an update in the Play Store. The Canvas Student Android app requires Android 8.0 or later.

Student App Updates

• To Do widget items respect Calendar filters for a more tailored view.
• A Logged Out screen displays on widgets when the user session ends.
• Calendar item changes such as saving, editing, or deleting, are reflected in widgets.
• Synchronization settings screen supports scrolling for easier access to options.
• Inbox improvements.
• When offline, tapping Terms of Use displays a No Internet Connection dialog.
• An empty state view is shown if no quizzes are available in a course.
• The Show Grades setting is off by default.
