Canvas Student Release Notes (Android 7.7)

Canvas Android app version updates are distributed in a phased rollout, which distributes the update to all users over time. The features in these notes may not immediately be available as an update in the Play Store. The Canvas Student Android app requires Android 8.0 or later.

Student App Updates

• Discussion Checkpoints are supported in the Calendar.
• Authentication for accessing course files is improved.
• The Mastery LTI tool is added to the Global Navigation menu for easier access.
• Hidden New Quizzes no longer appear in the Grades list.
• Users can access discussion mention alerts without issue.
• Functionality in the Inbox is updated to address previous issues.
• Embedded video URLs open as expected within the platform.
• The assignment reminder dialog supports entries with a 0 value.
